My research interests lie on the various functions of prosody, especially in the case of experimental theatrical performance. That includes the production and perception of speech rhythm and emotional prosody as well as acoustic correlates in linguistic and paralinguistic communication.

Currently, I am working in the SNSF-funded project “Between conversation and primordial sounds: Studies of the musicalised speech of the Composed Theatre using musical analytic and phonetic methods” in co-operation with the HK Bern.

Together with Lei He and Prof. Dr Dellwo we have received a research grant from the IAFPA for our project on shouted speech.

I received my diploma in Classics from the University of Ioannina. I have studied Linguistics and Phonetics at the University of Ioannina and Leiden University.
